James 'Tank' Williams

Operations Advisor

Tank Williams serves as Operations Advisor of Worl, where he provides multi-site operational oversight across the aerospace & defense precision machining enterprise.

He has held COO, President, and Operational roles with full P&L ownership across aerospace and defense manufacturing organizations including Meggitt Aircraft Braking Systems and Chemring Countermeasures USA, UTC (Solid Rocket Booster Shuttle Program), Rockwell Collins (formerly Rockwell International aerospace operations), Kennedy Space Center, and Fairchild Republic Co, operating in highly regulated and government-contracted environments.

Tank led a $600M aerospace division with enterprise-wide responsibility for operations, engineering, supply chain, quality, and commercial execution. His career is defined by hands-on plant leadership, facility consolidation, Lean transformation, capital modernization, and disciplined operational scaling within complex multi-site manufacturing structures.

He brings direct post-acquisition integration experience, having unified acquired competitors, consolidated manufacturing footprints from 1.4M to 900K square feet, standardized procurement and supply chain functions, and deployed more than $50M in CNC and facility modernization investments. His leadership consistently drove measurable performance improvements, including significant EBITDA expansion, margin growth from 2% to 28%, improved bid win rates, and substantial reductions in product failure rates.

Tank began his career in aerospace manufacturing and defense production, supporting major aircraft platforms and national defense programs, and later managing refurbishment operations for the NASA Shuttle Solid Rocket Booster program. His combined background in executive manufacturing leadership and defense industrial operations provides grounded credibility in governance, operational accountability, and precision execution at scale.

Served on executive boards and advisory councils within aerospace manufacturing organizations, contributing oversight on strategic planning, capital allocation, operational integration, and multi-site performance optimization. Guided enterprise-level decisions across production systems, quality control, procurement strategy, and long-term manufacturing competitiveness.

He served as a Sergeant (E-4) Hydraulic Specialist in the United States Air Force.
